300 million people a year take ivermectin, usually in a single yearly dose, sometimes 2x a year for the diseases/parasites mentioned, mostly across the tropical climate areas of the World.

That’s OK - there’s a LOT of drugs out there that even the scientists aren’t sure of exactly why they work - they know what they seem to help with and the 50 or so odd things that can go wrong, but are clueless about the exact efficacy..

I don’t know either; but malaria is a mosquito-borne disease - which includes parasitical disease.

Ivermectin is used to treat parasites, too.
