I think you and so many others are missing the point. It is not the end of the world to catch this virus UNLESS and PERHAPS if you are in that age group for which the mortality rate is highest and that is in folks 75+ AND who have pre existing conditions.
These are the folks who should be told to stay home. The younger and stronger need to be allowed to go to work exactly as they have done all the past years when we have our flu season.
This flu season over 30,000 have died from the common flu and in yrs past it was as high as 60-80 thousand right here in America and yet NEVER did we do anything resembling this. It was not necessary then and it is not necessary now. We have lost between 8-9 thousand people to this virus and even that number is suspicious since any death even remotely associated with the virus is deemed to have been caused by the virus. Even Italy has said only 12% of all those deaths blamed on this virus can be directly and solely blamed on it.
This is a deliberate attempt to crash not just our but the world economy and the reasons are purely political.

It so happens that I am in the designated-diers group, and many of my loved ones are also.
I’m aware of the political games being played, and I don’t disagree with you about them. Those playing that game need to be punished severely — just as soon as the immediate threat is laid to rest.
If you look back at my posts; you’ll see that I was amongst the first to raise red flags about the ever-increasing dangers arising from a potential economic collapse. Trump is right when he says that the cure could be worse than the disease — in fact, I think he’s greatly downplayed the dangers of a collapsed economy. If, for instance, the lights go out, and there’s no one to fix the grid, or if the required parts aren’t available — the results could be apocalyptic.
Trump’s asking for compliance for a few more weeks, then a reassessment. He’s chomping at the bit to reopen the economy & he has access to much, much better information than any of us on this forum. I’ll take my cues from Trump & the few local political leaders I trust. Meanwhile, don’t kill me. Don’t kill your gran.
