“hospitalization rates nationwide are only about 15-20% of what the models predicted.”

The models likely didn’t account for the lower number of non-covid-19 cases like traffic/pedestrian accidents, etc. since people are in lock-down and not traveling or engaging in risky behavior. The good news is because of that, there’s now more beds available to treat covid-19 virus patients.

That’s absolutely true and of course, worse case of scenarios are used like hope, to get people to do what they need to do. If you don’t get people to stay home then NYC happens everywhere, and imagine if they didn’t clamp NYC down, what the hell would it look like then. Not to mention if your crazy enough to believe this is some sort of Democrat plot, why in the heck is the whole world doing the same thing?
