I did something out of character for me yesterday at my local Meijer store. I was in the 20 items or less self check out lane watching a gal two people ahead of me with a FULL shopping cart. When it came time for me to move to one of the scanners, I asked the Meijer employee monitoring the lanes why she didn't tell the lady with the full cart to go to the proper check out lanes. The employee told me she wasn't allowed to.
So after I checked out my few items, I went back to the girl who was still checking out her items and told her she shouldn't be in that lane and pointed out the 20 item limit sign. All she said was I'm sorry.........I said you're not sorry, you are rude and you did it on purpose. Then I shook my head and walked away.......
Obama voter undoubtedly.
Yes, I saw a bunch of them in the ICU family waiting area yesterday.
Oddly, none of them were concerned about the economy...
The crazy thing about that - what do they need to be in a hurry for anyway! Are we not all on the same twiddle your thumbs standstill?
You did right and she did wrong. We live with others and we need to respect them and their own rights along with ours. I had to tell people yesterday to keep their distance after having avoided them as long as I cared to.
I’m thinking this tack we are on now is a waste of time, all this shut down. The President should not be blamed though. He acted in the only way he could with the advice he was given. It looks like what the Bio Boffins have told him is a lot of wrong with a little right. What we are doing now is not turning the curve very fast at all. I believe that will be proven in the next week or two.
COVID may be novel but it is no different than any other epidemic / pandemic disease and epidemiologists are supposed to know how to handle these things. We pay them well when there is nothing else to do to study, plan and prepare for these events and not be SJWs. They have not used their heads very well at all and CDC were not prepared and when they do something they do it wrong. They are to blame for the disaster that is probably coming.
I think it is time to mask up, keep your distance, wash your hands a lot, test everybody, quarantine and go back to work but stay at home if you feel vulnerable, we will because we can and we are older.
I also think this isn’t the flu. It is much worse so be very careful.
As for restaurants, worst times than most. Really bad, a lot will not survive and others will open in their place one day.
