I’m WAY out here in the country on my 18 acre homestead. I live along side a state highway that is usually moderately busy in the day and light traffic in the evening.
Alabama now has a curfew from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM... Cases are sky-rocketing here.
Nobody on the highway. Quiet, except for a million birds singing their heads off.
I’m not going to Walmart this morning.
I might go to Piggly Wiggly tomorrow morning.
Looking for times people aren’t out and about too much.
] Common sense will work.
]Govt. regs,not so much.
no way to avoid it:
Southern Alabama, north of Mobile and up to Montgomery - Indian reservation/casino - how many Indian have health issues - drinking, overweight, drugs. Second, the local black population has similar issues, overweight, diabetes, drugs.
But still God's country
Whaaaalllleee,
I said screw it and went to Walmart anyways. I wanted to see how they were handling the number of customers, since they have a limit now.
It wasn’t bad at all. They had someone out front counting people coming and going, but not too crowded.
They were out of a lot of things, but they had toilet paper! I picked up a big 36 bundle of Great Value extra strong 1000 sheet (similar to Scott), my favorite.
I’m all set for months!
Still no Diet Dr. Thunder...
As of today Alabama has 1,676 confirmed cases including 43 new cases today. There have been a total of 45 deaths including 1 new death today. 212 people cumulative have been hospitalized to date.
On April 1 there were 1,077 positive cases with 26 deaths. I guess you can say that "cases are skyrocketing," but it is all relative.
The more concerning figure would be that the percentage of positives of total testing is now around 10%, i.e., 1,580 positives out of 10,853 total tests.
