Many of the elderly victims are not so much dying OF coronavirus but WITH coronavirus. A lot of them were already sick with other serious conditions. They may well have gotten 'regular' pneumonia in normal times but this virus pushed them over the edge quicker. I'm not saying it's good in any way, but only to add some perspective here. My Dad had serious issues with diabetes and congestive heart failure, but the MRSA infection he caught in his assisted living home led to the pneumonia that ultimately killed him.

I read an article earlier that was talking about 3 codes that happened at the same time. 1 confirmed Covid case, 2 suspected. So, people dont code for anything anymore except for Covid-19, I guess.
