These are questions that are important to ask every time a breathless miracle cure is reported on the internet or in the media. The answer in the form of a question is a valid way of making a point.
There you go again. The doctor and reporter didn't breathlessly say it was a miracle cure. And they didn't leave any "question" about whether there was a control group. They specifically said that there was no control group.
The answer in the form of a question is a valid way of making a point.
Reinterating an important point that the doctor and reporter made is fine and dandy. Asking a rhetorical question as if the doctor and reporter didn't already make the point is not a valid way to make the point.
My take on the article is not that it is a “breathless miracle cure”. It is to highlight that a drug that does not cause unwanted heart problems was used and the results were fairly close to what others have been doing. The Dr. does say that this was not a clinical trial. It was more of a alternative attempt to obtain similar results. My take away is that the virus isn’t this big, scary monster that the media is touting it to be. It can be defeated. And is being defeated, by creative measures.
