Former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe on Thursday predicted that supporters of President Trump will turn out "at a historical level" on Election Day, creating a "very dangerous" scenario for former Vice President Joe Biden.
Plouffe, speaking on the "Fox News Rundown" podcast shortly after record-high jobless claims were announced, said Trump voters will head to the polls to cast their ballots for the president despite the coronavirus pandemic and economic fallout.
"You look at the economic situation and say, 'How can an incumbent win in that?' But, you know, no one's blaming Trump for the damage," Plouffe said.
Plouffe, who was considered the architect of former President Obama's successful 2008 White House bid, said Trump is still well positioned for repeat victories in Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin "because his base is so solid."
"And I think he's going to turn out voters almost at a historical level on his behalf, so that makes him very dangerous if you're Joe Biden," Plouffe added.

Oddly enough this is why lockdown persists. Trumps opposition is so pathetically weak he does not fear this costing him the election. If this was a horse race Fauci would have been squelched by now.
Trump put Biden on lockdown. He’s been in the basement for weeks afraid of the virus.

Nobody in this country really wants a senile Biden as POTUS. Whether they’ll admit it or not.
What this ‘world-wide shutdown’ has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt is that leftists really do run the world and use propaganda and information warfare extremely effectively to keep the masses in line.

Well, he’s going to need it, especially if the DEMs somehow jettison Biden and get a ticket together that would seriously ramp us their base. I expect the voter fraud and election “anomalies” will be epic this November. At a minimum, it will be used to maintain the House and try to steal the Senate.

It is so frustrating. Yes, President Trump is going to be reelected, and in a landslide. Almost no contest.
This being said, President Trump is now like the king in a game of chess. Nobody wins at chess by exclusively paying attention to their own king. All the other pieces are where the game is played.
The RNC, flush with cash, should be strategizing every single seat in congress, along with state and local races.
For example, right now, there are a ridiculous number of “unchallenged” seats at all levels of government. This is stupid. The RNC should, even in the “rottenest” of Democrat districts, be fielding candidates, even if they have no real chance at winning. Why?
First of all, if they are well funded, they will force the Democrat to raise money, and take time to campaign in their own district. And the DNC is already short of money, so it will stress them as well.
Second, those Republicans who run should be given the resources they need to win, if for nothing else, then “training for them to run in future races.” Experience. Trained candidates do much better in elections. And this also supports the training infrastructure of the federal, state and local Republican party.
Next, the RNC needs to really overwhelm any “purple” and Democrat “freshman” seats that are most vulnerable in 2020.
And then the RNC should hit the most *annoying* of the Democrats in congress and governors/state attorney generals races with a devastating push.
For example, Adam Schiff should have his district deluged with Republican money and negative campaign ads to the point that the average Democrat there is just disgusted with seeing his face.
Beware of being intentionally led into a false sense of security and subsequent decline in turnout.

Chances of Joe being nominee are not great.

You’re looking at that point at perhaps 30% of the Dinobernie supporters pulling a Jill Stein. We’re talking 10-15% of the DemoKKKrat Party not voting for whover is stuck in on election day. Then figure THAT candidate’s natural weaknesses. If it’s Cankles, she would lose more massively than before. Cuomo (the Venthoarder) is now a prisoner of his own device (hat tip to Don Henley) in that he cannot be seen as abandoning NY any time soon.
No matter which way they turn, they are screwed, massively, and by then both the economy will be roaring again AND Trump will get credit for mastrful handling of an epidemic.
