The answer is simple. The hospitals can’t bill a patient if he/she is put aboard a ship. They should be transferring patients to open up beds for what is coming. Doing that would cost the hospital income.

I think you have the right answer.

So what? If the hospitals keep the patients until they get closer to needing the beds, so what? Instead, we should cut their revenues, which are already down, so they get in even deeper financial distress? Give their patients to the government? That’s sure a 180 in thinking in here.

Besides, if you’re a patient, do you want to be moved across town and loaded onto a ship staffed by unfamiliar doctors when there was no present reason to move you?

This entire thread is just a bitching thread. It contains mostly rampant speculation and misleading information and little new information. Complete waste of time reading it. And that includes this present post of mine, I will acknowledge.
