The ships are there, fully equipped, and ready to be used FOR NON COVID PATIENTS. Local authorities have obviously completely failed to transfer said patients to the ships.
My wife, who spent decades of her life as a RN holds 99.9999% of hospital administrators in the same regard as she does snakes.
She feels that these hospitals are so short of patients, they are sending only those patients with no way to pay for their hospitalization to the Navy Hospital Ships.
IOW: NYC’s hospitals don’t want to part with the revenue...er, patients.
They’re sending the low margin patients and keeping the cash cows.

Of course most of NY city’s elites have fled NYC and flown elsewhere in private planes or were driven in limos to a “Safer Place”!
That leaves the medicare and plain joe and jane patients,, many of which have no insurance now. Or their insurance coverage is lapsing. That makes them perfect patients for our Navy ships.
Are we up to 10,000 dead? Some were predicting by today we would have that many dead from the invisible killer in our midst.
If the numbers do increase, we will never hear about it from the same sources so eager to run this story.

Laura Ingraham had two doctors on last night. One of them stated that the ship is not yet used because the hospitals in New York have not reached capacity. Ship not needed, yet.
Lets hope that the hospital and ship capacities are never reached.
We can then see very clearly that Cuomo, Schumer, et al were playing the “ create a crisis” to maximize blame, and then back off with a “ thank god” we didn’t need it.
