False assumption on your part - actually several; the Captain never considering abandoning or endangering the nukes - or any other part of his ship. No, the navy command structure wasted almost two weeks since the discovery of infected sailors. What connection I have had with nuclear weapons is not to be discussed on this or any forum.
Captain Crozier successfully commanded the Blue Ridge and served as XO on a carrier before that. He was and is a proven leader but the navy chain of command considered his troops to be expendable - at least until his last letter was leaked.
You underestimate just how political and how self interested our military leadership has become over the last few years.
“False assumption on your part “
Ignorance on display and I can not get past the first sentence.
For the military stupid among us.
The readiness and ability of any military unit to deploy a nuclear weapon within the requirements of their mission is highly classified information.
Period.
Now I’ll go back and find more to post about.
The rest of the post was BS too. Going outside of the chain of command with obviously classified data and the unauthorized release of that classified data is a matter that can be litigated within the power of the UCMJ.
You can take your jumble of ignorant words and put them with the rest of your rationalizations that mean absolutely nothing.
This captain screwed up and his career is toast. I doubt if they court martial him because libs would have a heyday telling their lies about what was and is at risk.
