You are right China already confirmed the fecal oral route for this bug. They also have plenty of evidence of aerosol transmission particularly the cases where a passenger on a bus caught on camera and confirmed positive after the fact infected people 4.5 meters away , andand also infected two additional passengers 30 minutes after they departed. No other people were sick on the bus at that time. There’s a peer reviewed paper of this incident I’ll have to look for it. Japan has at least 33 more examples that were.medically reviewed that show transmission over 3 meters away again via aerosols. This is of no surprise other coronavirus spread this way, as does influenza and mumps and measles. The human body when it is in peak infectious stage sheds millions of virus particles just breathing.

I thought it was 14 infected according to SCMP, but cannot find that. Here’s is the Daily Mail version, with 9 others infected:

Note that many people were NOT infected on the bus. That’s just as important because it tells us that people do have a certain level of tolerance, so if you just get a relative handful of virons, and/or if you’re otherwise healthy, it’s less likely you’ll get sick.

That’s one reason that I don’t go polishing doorknobs all day and spraying my mail...it’s not that easy to get.
