Phyllis Schlafly was a true American heroine. After having six children she attended Harvard Law and get her jd. Then she almost single-handedly defeated the ERA, beating Congress and the executive who had already passed it. Truly a remarkable woman.

Gloria Steinem? Meh...

Back in the early ‘80’s I was working in NYC as a union laborer. I was working on 42.nd. St. and 6th. Ave renovating a building right on the corner of those two streets. Right next to this building, looking east is the iconic WR Grace Building. One morning, unloading some lumber off a truck on 42.nd into the building when who walks by but ol’ Gloria Steinem herself. What an unhappy , miserable looking broad she is. You should have seen the puss on her.

an agenda piece designed to help the effort to re-animate the ERA. You are absolutely right Phyllis Schlafly saved the country from this nightmare. If it was law now we wouldn’t the country.

The accomplishments - BEGINNING at college-age - are rather disparate. Schlafly already had degrees before she had children. And they weren’t just “journalism” - writing.

Not surprised. Most Hollywood type barely have what could pass for a high school education. It’s why they’re so gullible for fake news.

A century after female suffrage became the law of the land, there is still no federal ban on legalized discrimination against women.

Because there doesn't need to be. There are countless regulations against it. The last thing we need is a constitutional amendment to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

Then she almost single-handedly defeated the ERA, beating Congress and the executive who had already passed it.

Her main argument against the ERA was that it would ban laws that give special benefits to women only.
