I wouldn’t accept a mask from China at this point in time, unless they can check them for disease, first.
We need to start a “not made in China” campaign. Buy everything from America preferably but specifically NOT China.
If the American population did this our economy would boom and theirs would bust.
It’s time to play by the rules China. You don’t get to steal our technology & patents while also making crapping products, especially if they’ve any importance around our national security supply chain.
We could very easily send them that message without our politicians having to do anything.

Trump should have used the DPA a month ago to force American Pharma to crank up home manufacture of meds. And done similarly for medical equipment. We need to be on a six-month plan to have brought home or shifted to friendly countries our production of critical stuff. Period.
China is at war with us and I would feel better if it felt like we were at war with them in return.
Agree - I think this is why PDJT uses the “war” word. He probably doesn’t want to say “war with China” but he’s made certain comments that signal an extreme displeasure. Seeing multiple videos of Chinese nationals deliberately spreading the virus makes me believe there’s more going on here. Maybe he can’t prove it - but his instincts are telling him this.
I don’t mind if he doesn’t say it and even if he continues making goo-goo eyes at Xi. I just want him cranking up supply chain independence in triple time!
The reason Trump is soft-peddling China now is that we are still dependent on them for critical medical materials. Kraft got some headlines there, but FedEx and UPS are still flying multiple daily flights to from and within China, and carrying lots of medical. Trump doesn’t want Xi to shut this down.

But they just set up the supply chain task force, bringing in the DoD specialist, 13 days ago—which was several days into “15 days to stop the spread”, or whatever exactly the phrase was.
We did hear some push back from Big Pharma several days ago about apparently being asked to produce more domestically, so there is apparently at least some movemen there.
