Rental agreements are contracts. There is a legal requirement for all — landlord and renter — to abide by the terms those contracts. There is a legal obligation to pay the rent.
There was a time when Congress would censure any members who advocated lawlessness. No more, apparently.

I don’t know about your state, but in Colorado the eviction courts are closed and no one can be evicted.
