Why are people defending OAN? Even the news outlets that hate Trump are obeying the rule. Good question. The woman reporter was not in the seating rotation on the two days in question but she was standing in the back of the room. The reason that she was attending in that manner is that she was invited to the Press Conference as a guest of the President's Press Secretary.
Who controls the room is the issue? Traditionally it has been the press to self police and that way the current President's staff can stay aloof. But now with sn openly Marxist media, all conventions go out he window.

Sundance over @ CTH came out with a detailed plan to deal w/ the Press Core when they started to be Richard-Craniums. It included a lottery to change who's in the seats, moving the meeting room to the WH business building out back, etc etc.
IMHO POTUS needs to take his detailed ideas and run with them.....
