Should have added...the economic slump will affect retired people who are living on income from nest eggs in that those nest eggs will most likely have shrunk considerably.Ya think?

Mnuchin said money would be showing up in people’s accounts in three weeks. He said that seven or eight days ago, so it should be another two weeks or so.
If the IRS doesn’t have someone’s current bank account and direct deposit information then that person may have to wait longer to receive a paper check.

why are retired people getting a check....they are not unemployed This is a STIMULUS check, it's purpose is to circulate money, to help keep the economy going, and yes retired people spend money too. I intend to spend all of it as fast as I can.

I am!!! I get social security but depend on my part time restaurant job to make ends meet. I have been assured my job will be there when this passes and I have filed for partial unemployment (but really not sure I’ll qualify) so yes...some of us retired folks do need help. Lots of sanctimonious folks on this board these days.
