Did I miss the part where their incomes were disrupted? This seems like nothing more than extra booze and drug money.
My apologize for those that earned their SS.
That money will pay things I normally would pay, like property taxes and home owners insurance.

Thanks for your high opinion of SS recipients. By the way my hubs and I do pay income taxes. Matter of fact we don’t have drug money let alone enough for extra. Now booze, does wine count?

Perhaps you missed the point that it is the elderly that are getting whacked by the virus.

How can they get this while an adult (zero income) who is claimed as a dependent on their child’s tax return gets nothing?
Has anyone thought about the fact that senior citizens (my mom is 87) depend on their children for help each month with groceries and utilities. Their 60 old children’s income stream is disrupted so the assistance they can give their parents is also disrupted. My mom worked until she was 65 and was widowed at age 69. She depends on my sisters and I for assistance and everyone of us are currently sitting at home.
Shhhh, we may need it to lesson the blow from being tossed into the meat wagon!
