I’m surprised by how left wing Scotland is. They are farther left than England by a huge margin. Are there any regions of Scotland which remain conservative?
The Scottish National Party is a real doozy; consider their name combined with their advocacy for social democracy, which equates to national socialism, never mind having “closer ties” with the EU (which undermines their notion of nationalism and independence, i.e. to be the EU’s client state). Sturgeon’s recent move shows what the SNP really are about.
The party in second place in Scotland’s parliament are the Scottish Conservatives; don’t know much about them, but if they are on the same part of the spectrum as the English Tories, then that is too far left.
