I was designating what you described. Unseen Unheard Flying Object
Funny how easy we are called liars huh
Tell me about it! I got called a liar for daring to suggest that we look at the actual numbers in a week to see if a prediction was correct!
It wasn’t even my prediction.
I’m reminded of a group of medieval scholars who were debating how many teeth were in a horse’s mouth.
To answer the question, each person stood up and cited their favorite authority—but there was still NO agreement. A junior member of the group then suggested that the group should go outside and simply “COUNT” a horse’s teeth—to resolve the question once and for all!
Upon hearing this, the rest of the group became so alarmed that, according to the manuscript, they “fell upon him, smote him hip and thigh, and cast him from the company of educated men.”
I have enjoyed your posts for years
Always well worth tbe read
Awwwww I’m *blushing*!
U-2, RC-135, or fake news?
SR-71: There are none left - the trainer was cut up also - tools long gone. Last one flew in 96-98 - there was talk of reactivating the 3 remaining after 911, but was too expensive for the AF brass, so off to the museums.
SR-71: was. Like many things gone which were conceived in the 60s that have no equal currently.
If such a thing exists, it is held behind extreme security, such that just revealing it exists would be a breach and a prison-time felony for the discloser.
US Navy’s EP-3E
There's got to be something, that fact is hardly a secret.
The ability to be over a given patch of turf on an unpredictable and rapid fashion is just too handy.
There's something that can do that that isn't being reported.
For all we know it's simply looks like something no one would ever report, like a sleigh with eight tiny reindeer?...
There’s got to be something, that fact is hardly a secret.

With the Pentagon Brass penchant for the latest extremely expensive high tech toys there might be, but, on the other hand following known toys examples, there is only one of them, spends a lot of hanger time, costs too much to operate, and has a spare parts issue. And that’s why they want to keep it secret - from us - likely the Russians and Chinese are aware.\
If there is a surprise associated with it when finally revealed, it will be there is more than one ...
My dad was a member of that project team @ the skunk works.
I’ve read a few books about that stuff.
Legendary engineers and technicians and pilots.
Marlboros, slide rules, and pencil on vellum.
You do know he’s not legally allowed to tell you anything and, If he’s still alive, is libel; you need to understand you can be prosecuted, if they chose; this assumes your dad was not joking at the time and that such a thing still exists and is operational.
Right now you have only hearsay knowledge, not actually. But I’d keep that to yourself.
Interesting that you mentioned this . First, he’s long gone . There was once a time ,years ago , that I asked him “ what went in up there at ‘the ranch ‘? He was in his 80’s at the time , long retired from both Lockheed and the agency. He replied “ sorry son , I can’t tell you a thing, I gave my word on it” Even to his own son , yrs later , he maintained his honor , and his word, until his last breathe. This is why we call them the greatest generation . I’m so proud of my old man.
Mean to add y’all to my post above as well.
I only know of one black project my dad worked on, the B-2, and that was only because it was no longer black.
Everything else he took to his grave.
Still, a man on board has its advantages.
Thanks, add the venerable U-2 to the list of active aerial recon assets. There is also the NG XRQ-72A.
