Marriott said Tuesday approximately 5.2 million guests worldwide may have been affected. Marriott said it’s still investigating but it doesn’t believe credit card information, passport numbers or driver’s license information was accessed.

At the rate we’re going, any attempt to steal someone’s ID with the idea of capturing their bank and investment money will turn out to be futile. Another month+ shut down, and our economy and net worth is going to crater.

Hey — if you are shut down due to virus. Power off your servers. !! No data can be breached from a powerless machine.

This might explain all the robocalls I’ve been getting; wherein it seems Merriott liked me staying there so much, they’re giving me a free holiday there — if I just press ‘1’.
