Try reading the post before yours. I spent 25 years writing, chopping and signing Navy letters and messages. There’s so much wrong with this one, it’s hard to know where to start. Navy ships are REQUIRED by Navy regulations to serialize letters, and that only happens in the ship’s office. Why doesn’t this letter have any serial number?
A CVBG has a Flag Officer and his staff attached - any correspondence destined to the FO’s superiors would require his endorsement - why is it missing?
I’ve known, worked for, and have been a Navy CO - none would start an official letter with ‘BLUF’. That’s plain absurd.
