I haven’t heard POTUS say anything about the timing of this ‘hoax’ “pandemic”.

You make it sound as though whoever set forth this ‘hoax’ is controlling POTUS and causing him to walk on eggshells.
That is NOT his style. I don’t believe he’s being controlled, in such a manner, as you’re suggesting.
I”m not suggesting he’s being cowed. You’re right, Trump’s impervious to that sort of thing. Perhaps, maybe likely, Im just slow to acknowledge how serious this is on its own. If that’s the case, I am coming around.
In any event, this isn’t a hoax. China (who we all know cannot be trusted in the best of times), REALLY doesn’t like Trump. Neither do they like the impact this is having on their own economy. They didn’t create or unleash the virus purposefully.
A crisis like this, with the accompanying economic meltdown, would, however, be the surest way of derailing an incumbent American president. Perhaps the only way to bring Trump down.
China withheld information that might have caused earlier preparation against this crisis. That’s all. Their MO historically evidences they would do this in a vacuum. Nonetheless, I don’t believe their misinformation strategy would fail to consider the American election cycle and Trump. The dems and the media would of course, as per form, blow things way out of proportion and do all they could to induce a panic and meltdown.
I don’t purport to know what’s really going on. It’s just interesting that all this is happening during a crucial election cycle. At a time when virtually nothing else could have derailed President Trump’s second term.
Nobody we’ve yet put up (sadly) could have done for our nation, and the world, what President Trump did. Please know I would NEVER suggest he’s just bending over and taking it. However, to the extent his malfeasant enemies have stacked things against him, if any, he really can’t speak to that as poignantly as he ordinarily does in light of the fact a lot of people are dying.
This is just a thought. Maybe I’m totally off-base. Please don’t think for a minute I’m trying to demean the most successful president we’ve ever had at turning the devices of our nation’s enemies and delivering us (with his enigmatic “magic wand”) from what these domestic, and foreign, enemies wanted to saddle us with.
Since the polls came in and we knew Donald Trump defeated Hillary, I frankly took on faith he’d be a two-termer. Given that they have no moral or ethical boundaries to constrain them from pursuing their ends, I always wondered how his enemies couldn’t find SOMETHING to slow him down. I’m just mortally afraid that, with this crisis, maybe they have. Perhaps they’ve no substantial role.
Prior to this “pandemic” and its fallout, my chief fear was what would happen after the President termed out since the Republicans have always failed to produce anything like him.
