I think we’ll need serologicall testing for that.

In the meantime, I think Macy’s may be toast.

There is no reason stores need to be closed. Any reports of this virus spreading significantly have been at places where people stand or sit close to each other for extended periods of time like churches, dance clubs, etc.

This is what I read about transmitting the virus yesterday...sounds very logical and similar to other contagious viruses.

“We’re really talking about being within four to six feet of somebody for a period of time,” Cartter said. “We’re talking close contact, not somebody you passed in the hall.”

Cartter added the virus is most likely to spread from the initial patient’s coughs and sneezes.”

So, this blanket stay-at-home and shutdown is totally unnecessary. The only places where a shutdown could benefit is crowded places where people congregate close together. This does not happen in a store unless there are lines like on Black Friday. No store needs to be closed. They can enforce 6-feet-distances and limit the amount of customers in the store just like the drug and grocery stores are doing now. The risk of transmission in a store is incredibly low and I know I’ve never heard one confirmed report of transmission in a store.
