Twitter deleted that post on Monday, confirming to Mediaite that the post was removed because it fell under their “misleading information policy” with its “Heightened-risk health claims.” A Twitter spokesperson further confirmed to The Daily Beast that the platform required the tweet to be deleted by the account’s owner under the threat of being suspended.

I tend to post a lot on a site called Harmony-central. It’s all musicians and tends to lean hard left, but their posting policy is stringent and tightly moderated. Anyone can post on the political forum but you have to follow the rules. No ad-hominem and if you make a statement of fact, you may be called out to supply a supporting link.

Anyway, for the first time ever, I was asked by the mods to stop posting stuff saying this is not anything to panic over. I wasn’t breaking the rules. They just didn’t want people to get “complacent”.

I stand by every post I did but decided to just bow out of the site indefinitely. This virus has exposed many internet sites for just how free they really will allow speech to be. Even here I’ve seen a few posters want other posters silenced because they were not buying into the panic.
