The coronavirus outbreak could kill 100,000 to 200,000 Americans, the U.S. government’s top infectious-disease expert warned on Sunday as smoldering hot spots in nursing homes and a growing list of stricken cities heightened the sense of dread across the country.

I don’t think he had a choice MSM has been pounding the “Trump is putting the economy above the safety of the American people” BS from the moment he floated it. The market is going to be bad tomorrow. There could have been some easing but he has the play the MSM’s game to some extent so the country will suffer more then necessary. There are ways to do a compromise, limited resteraunt seating etc but the politics of this are inescapable,

I’m sure he’s not just doing this to get the media off his back.
The number of daily deaths is doubling every 2-3 days, they probably agreed that social distancing can’t be relaxed until that slows down.
I’m going downstairs to count toilet paper rolls.
Stuff going on behind the scenes we don’t know about.
So trade in your inflatable doll for one that doesn't mind being cooped up.
This is gonna be death for most small businesses. Id bet the average citizen has no idea what this is doing to the economy.
We will feel the effects of these horrible decisions for decades to come.
And based upon this University of Washington Study it will get worse with a projection of some 81K deaths....with some 2300 deaths projected. 1700 at a low to 4800 as a high in April 14th... You can see the projections for each state... also.

I am very skeptical that ALL deaths are being grouped into CV19 I don’t believe these numbers!!
My city is made up of small businesses. And they depend on the tourist trade! Both businesses will be killed stone dead by this. I hope the president is fibbing.
330,000,000 / 200,000 = 1650
So, one out of every 1650 to 3300 Americans will be killed
by this, per his latest prediction?
That’s a lot better than what he started with.
