There is no way the country could be opened up all at once under any scenario. Getting back to normal has to be phased in.
I'm in agreement with you.
That said, I would like to see POTUS call our nation to more prayer/days of prayer(?), for our nation.
And/Or maybe have Pastors, and religious leaders from all faiths, at variuos conferences, leading us in prayer?
Or, open or close conferences with prayers for our people?
We need to ask our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to help us get through this-For physical, mental, and Spiritual strength, and healing.
In addition, perhaps there could be some persons/websites exc.. to talk to everyone, and offer help/ideas for coping with everything happening (staying home, stress,kids at home, boredom..exc..)
But most of all, we need more prayer.
We are not just fighting a disease IMO.
We need to put on the full armor of God.
2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

That slow roll out of ‘get back to work’ for low infected number areas is problematic. Those states/counties are low for the simple reason they are low population areas.
Low population = fewer contact points (stores/gas stations) = low infected numbers. BUT not lower percentage numbers.
This whole thing has been geared to not overwhelm local systems. Completely unsurprising large population center county hospitals are first to feel it. Dem areas even more so.
Almost everything is exempt. There is a Constitution and it has items in it like a takings clause, right to assemble, right to gather and worship, etc.
The push back is coming.

Yeah, but I think it's just the nature of the beast. As you note, the mission is to not overwhelm local health care systems. All well and good, but not all of them are on the same calendar.
Two things are potential game changes if the government can get out of bureaucracy mode. One is treatment, if HCQ/Z-pack is highly effective, then we can relax. Also, serum tests. If a substantial fraction has been infected and is immune, that is also justification to relax.
The doctors' models do not include the treatment adjustment variable. They assume status quo treatment. Most of the people who get bad enough to need a ventilator for breathing, die.

There’s a test to tell whether or not someone already has had the virus, has recovered, and has antibodies. Why not just test people and let those who’ve had it go back to work. That way, all workplaces will have 100% “clean” employees. Then weekly test the others and check their status and return those clean people to the workplaces. Incrementally, we could get businesses up and running. (Last week, Dr. Birx said you can’t get it twice.)
As I posted a while back, POTUS should declare these briefings Public Service Announcement in conjunction with the declaration of this National Emergency. The MSM would have no choice but to air them.

Our church met. EVERYTHING was sprayed & wiped down. Hand sanitizer everywhere. People were not too close. Many watched online, it’s each person’s choice. We did & will continue to.
