OK, if you say “the US will recover faster than some experts predict” I am going to go out on a limb and say “the US will recover slower than some experts predict.”

Nice video but the headline is not supported by anything I heard. No Stanford early prediction or any justification for that conclusion.
There might be areas of the US getting the spread under control, but nationwide, the number of new cases and deaths related to COVID-19 are still going up. The 24-hour death counts the last five days have been 225, 247, 268, 400, and 525. The counts for the last days show an accelerated spike upward, and it's unsettling.

If you lived in WY, you would have 86 confirmed cases,15 hospitalized and no deaths. Out of 1,559 tests, 1,475 were negative. Pretty flat already.
For those unfamiliar with the world of medicine (I have close to 30 years at Harvard Medical School) Stanford has a huge voice in that world. Their voice carries a huge amount of credibility among physicians worldwide.

That is why the video caught my attention.
Do you think the video might have misrepresented Stanford stated? Or maybe it was very bad reporting.

Excellent point. I was thinking about that earlier today. All of the countries in Europe did not take off at the same time.
New York might get under control then another big city takes off in new infections.
US as a whole it will take a longer recovery time. Some regions will recover before others because there infections started out earlier.
Some of the Asian countries that were recover are having fare ups now. Wonder if those fare ups are new strains of COVID-19. Still a lot of unknowns about this.
The increase deaths are occurring in just a very few states
To date there have been 2,438 deaths with these 7 states constituting 74% of them:
New York 965
Washington 189
New Jersey 161
Louisiana 151
Michigan 132
California 123
Georgia 80
Total: 1,801

If anything maybe NY reaches saturation point where most people have herd immunity and it dies out.
