This is a virus that has never previously infected humans and its likely that almost no one has immunity, or antibodies to protect them against this virus.

Whether this outbreak is a small brush fire, or a full-on cataclysm is yet to be seen.
As it is actually just starting to hit.
We are in the Community Mitigation phase. Which happens after the virus has gotten into the population. And puts us on the “up” slope of the curve.
So, this thing may whimper and be nothing. Or this bug might just kick our ass.
Personally, I prefer that we err on the side of caution.

What you call "erring on the side of caution" is flirting with the second Great Depression. What's being done to the economy is a big deal.
