Question on hospital capacity. Okay, what is the controlling factor? Beds? Type of equipment in the room, ventilators being the subject de jour, doctors, nurses? Trump's answer is just on the beds.
Trump says the government is TAKING ventilators. To me this is expediting an assembly and test process using existing inventory of parts.

There is a list, that I found a couple of weeks ago, that listed every hospital in the country, with the number of beds, and, the number of ICU beds.
So, of your overall number of beds, in a given hospital, there are only so many ICU beds.
In the US, ICU beds are already about 60% occupied (on average), NYC ICU beds run at about 80%.
