Except that 1. The US nearly SIX times the population of Italy yet Italy (with a massive over 9,000 dead), has NINE times the number of dead as the US
2. Italy has close to 90,000 infections with only 1/6th of the US population. The US urrently has 100,000 infections, nearly the same as Italy.
3. A big chunk of the US infection and death numbers are from New York where:
a. New York City health commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot, among others, who dismissed the incoming threat of the coronavirus in February.
The risk to New Yorkers from coronavirus is low and ... our preparedness as a city is very high, Barbot said at a Feb. 2 press conference supporting the Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade and Festival. There is no reason not to take the subway, not to take a bus, not to go out to your favorite restaurant and certainly not to miss the parade next Sunday [Feb. 9].
b. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio encouraged New Yorkers in early March to “get out on the town despite Coronavirus.”
The bitter, deranged, “will never be happy in this life” Rubin will be better off aiming her fire at DeBlasio and Cuomo.
Everyone who wants to know why infection rates are so high in New York City should watch this video from Tucker Carlson.
