Garbage collectors in Pittsburgh staged a one-day strike in order to extort “hazard pay”. Despite the fact that they come in contact with more infectious stuff than this every day they’re on the job.

Real civic minded of them, eh?

There is a huge difference between wise financial moves in a volatile market and milking the taxpayers’ teats for more graft.

They’re more likely to get it from a coworker than the trash.

I hate government as much as the next FReeper, but for folks who stay on the job and can’t social distance, I’m all for hazard pay.

surly there is a collective knot on the heads of every tax payer in America...
Government workers are tax takers, not tax payers.. A liability for the American people, not an asset.. I'm I wrong..?

Even Walmart is throwing some extra money at their people for taking that risk. I don’t object in principle, but the strongarm tactics really frost me.

I agree with your sentiment. The problem is that some of the people getting hazard pay are working at home and it is up to their managers to declare who is essential.

Philly is the town where they ran copper water lines to waterless urinals in order to placate a union.

Just helping to collapse the economy like the rest of the blue cities and states. When you open the jails, announce that you will not be arrested anymore and you are prolonging the pandemic deliberately what more do we need to know as far as whats coming. We will reach a point of chaos, it is then that the soros army antifa is waiting in the wings for anarchy in the streets. This is the globalists wet dream. Its a plan stan

Government workers are not aware when there is a recession going on...nothing changes for them like it does in the private sector.

“Government workers are not aware when there is a recession going on...nothing changes for them like it does in the private sector.”

Exactly.

In this case they get a paid vacation at time and half!

A Completely Privileged Class, above you and me.
