There is probably a connection between drive and corruption. I don’t understand it myself how somebody, with a lifetime job, that earns 100,000+ can be prone to being corrupted on top.

The corruption is a measure of their incompetency. Actual competency requires integrity but liberals don't see it that way. They think all they need is to maintain the appearance of having integrity.
