My name is Sue. Really. That song released in 1969. I was 18. For the next umpteen years I when I said my name is Sue I always got the response How do you do??

That's a good one.

I gave my son a name that is not very common: Emerson.

One day when he was in middle school he asked me why I named him that.

I was in a hurry, and brushed the question off by saying: "Just be glad I didn't name you Sue."

Several years later, He is in the Navy and calls me up, late at night:

"Dad, I just heard the song. Now I get it!"

I had no idea what he was talking about.

"I'm listening to it now. I never heard before, Now I know what you meant."

Poor kid had remembered that quick comment all those years! Fortunately he was cracking up about t.
