hmm, suppose a significant number of large actors purchased mass quantities in say January-february. Like SEIU size. Wouldn't that cause a disruption in availability? I have a hypotheses these shortages of various articles don't add up.
Plus why did LA county and NYS decide to stop reporting testing stats? Why was the CDC response so confused early on?
Unfortunately I'm a paranoid hypochondriac by nature and so I really have to validate these notions quantitatively before I feel comfortable raving about it but things just don't seem quite right.
Maybe what's happening here is some kind of "cool war" where some nation state is manipulating various organizations to take actions which add up to disruption. Certainly the news media constructing narratives from Chinese and Russian propaganda would be a symptom of that. OTOH it could be organizational febrility. But there are a number of nation-state scale actors who have organized international disruptions in the last few decades, e.g. Soros, various Chinese and ChiCom agencies, even the CIA/NSA.

I considered that, but it makes no sense. The outbreak is not even close to how extreme they told us it would be. They knew it was a planned hoax — the panic, not the flu. They knew it would be not very bad. Why would they willingly spend extra money on many millions of units they knew wouldn’t be necessary?
