The Corporate Progressive Media is very busy sowing these #FakeNews stories to stir division and confusion.
The might face a civil rights lawsuit for discriminating against the elderly and disabled if it was shown age and disability were a factor in denying treatment.
But otherwise families would most likely find themselves pitted against a hospital ethics board which have rather broad powers in deciding when life saving treatment is considered futile. Such decisions can be made over family objections and may or may not be successfully challenged in court.
They’re already doing this in New Orleans.
