Truth. It's their preferred status.
Our government is vile. Many belong in prison. Many belong hanging. Most should be nowhere near making decisions in this country.
Why does the Kennedy Center need government subsidies? They have famous people performing there frequently and many DC elites are always in the audience. It the place can’t support itself it should be allowed to fail and close down.
This need never have happened if petulant Paul Ryan and 40 of his cronies hadn’t decided to “retire”.
Why does the Kennedy Center want more government money? So that it can continue to pay overblown salaries for mediocre performances that fewer and fewer people want to see. I used to have season tickets to the National Symphony Orchestra, and went often to the ballet and opera there. Finally I got tired of paying $25 for parking on top of inflated ticket prices for truly second rate performances. If it weren’t for tourists and visiting school groups, the place would close. The NSO have some of the highest paid musicians in the country, but they usually just play their notes and mail it in. The struggling Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is far better and gets my money these days. Sometimes, the BSO is so much better they make the NSO sound like a high school marching band.
They are like every other business. Kennedy Center was a profitable operation, I buy tickets to stuff there; they are now forced by government to be closed, so I don’t have a problem with them being compensated for this.
I had a concert in June to go to, I’m hoping it will be back open by then.
Veto it unless every penny of pork is stripped out of it. Trump should go on television and address each item of pork line by line to the American people to let them know what the democrats are doing while Americans suffer.
