I believe there are a bit over 5k ventilators in NY (State). Gov. Cuomo said they had procured another 7k, and figure they will need another 30k. Assuming they get all of them (unlikely), it's a pretty safe bet that fatalities will equal at least 1/4 of that number. Just in NYC for the next 2-3 months. :-(

The only people who might need a ventilator are the serious/critically ill. Of a total of 59,447 active cases ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY NOT JUST NY, there are 1307 categorized as such. And not all those cases require ventilation.

This is fearmongering for political purposes. Facts are our friend.
