They don’t care about things like “slippery slope” and “moral hazard” or “precedent” or even doing what is right. The article talks a lot about letting members of Congress vote remotely! LOL. Sounds good to me. They would be more effective if they just stayed home. Nevermind that it’s never been allowed before.

One would think that voting remotely is really debating remotely.

The reason for quorum rules in the Constitution is that they recognized that not everyone would be there every time there was a vote. There is no need for remote voting, just vote with the members who are there as long as the Constitutional quorums are met.

I know that "debate" in the "world's most deliberative body" has become more like kabuki theater than actual debate and changing of minds, but voting remotely will codify the lack of true debate and changing minds once and for all.
