Again, none of these states are actively randomly testing or looking at antibody. The confirmed death rate is # confirmed deaths / # of confirmed cases, but in reality the calculation will be # deaths (close to confirmed) / (# confirmed cases + # of mild cases never tested + # of assymptomatic cases didn’t even know they had something). The last 2 groups are huge, and likely many times larger than the first. They can actually test this with antibody tests after all is said and done, and it’s why the Swine flu’s estimated death rate was revised down from over 1% to 0.02%.
