Diamond Princess death rate for a population averaging 70 years old is encouraging. This article from CNBC today says nine people died, up from 8. Sounds trivial, but when we are extrapolating from 3700 people to 320 million people it is significant. I can’t find any confirmation of the 9th death, if anyone can find it please advise.
Yeah, the researcher from stanford said the actual estimated range at the time of the study was 0.025% death rate to 0.65%, but increased the range to 0.05% to 1% due to the fact that there could be additional deaths as time went on.
Don’t find anything about a 9th death. But here is a listing of
several stories about cruise ships and the illnesses on some of them.
