These are the same civic leaders who are releasing petty criminals from the clink so that they have room to lock up those who violate their “stay home” orders.
These states are ordering residents to stay home or shelter in place. What does that mean?
Orders and advisories of all types:
States:Washingon, Michigan, Massachusetts, Indiana, Delaware, Kentucky, Louisana, Ohio, California, New York, Illinois, Connecticut, Oregon, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania (15 states, 30%).
Cities: St. Louis, Kansas City, Phileldelphia.
Counties: Dallas County, Texas is on the list, by order of Judge Clay Jenkins. As I understand, under Texas law, county judges are the highest ranked elected officals, so he has the legal authority to give the order during emergencies.
Too little, too late.
You guys should close the passes through the Cascades. The Feds may give you trouble on I-90.
I was at that LifeCare center on 11/20 to discuss money they owed me. Then the first week of December I got so sick - Dr said it was bronchial, I had no fever and lungs were ok - I just could barely move, coughing, etc. I started to get better and then it came back but weaker. By end of December I was ok.
I just have to wonder if I got whatever I had at LifeCare.
Washington State has already seen some slowing even before this order to shelter in place. Its taken 6 days for the number of cases to double, from about 900 to about 1800. Previously, it took 4 day. And before that, 2 days.
So, the social isolation that’s already occurred is starting to have its effect. I predict in about another week, Washington State will start have more cured cases than new cases.
When this is all done, ask your physician to get an antibody test.

It is very likely that you picked up something there. The place provides a higher level of care and has many medicare beds. This translates to a sicker group of patients than most other places. Last year they did get fined for having a problem following their flu protocol. It has been a very good facility. The person who was our best friend there and the reason we were visitors frequently retired last year before this whole mess started. We personally never got sick after visiting.
I spent my career transporting sick patients and my wife was a department head and nurse at multi-level care facilities so we have both been exposed to many pathogens over the years which leads to immunities. This year we have both been more ill than we normally are and because their are so many people in our community who visit China on a regular basis I believe that there is good reason this place is ground zero. Visiting the Kirkland Costco sometimes makes one feel that they are in China or Southeast Asia. More than 10,000 came back from China after the travel ban by diverting to Vancouver BC and entering both Canada and the USA with no health screening at all.
This nonsense was too late to do any good here, although it would not have probably done any good at any time after the pathogen was delivered here in December by so many people coming back from China with no screening or quarantine.
Remember folks, there were soccer matches going on in Seattle two weeks ago with attendance near 40,000, two weeks in a row. Life Care Center had already started its outbreak, and patient zero for the US was already out of the hospital after a 5 week stay.

There should be a rule change that passports should be stamped in order of travel. Right now, they stamp passports in any box they can find, which makes it difficult to determine where you came from.
