When Rush said he would be back last Friday after four days of “treatment” I knew that wasn’t going to happen.
His recording that aired today was the first time he mentioned getting Chemotherapy although it was obvious based on his original announcement of a four day absence.
Having been through multiple Chemotherapy Regimens during the last 14 Years myself, I figured he would need the weekend to recover before returning to work.
With the improvements in Chemotherapy we have today, I find it a bit troubling that he is having issues the next week, but he is in his late 60’s.
I was only 52 when I went through my first Chemotherapy Regimen, and 62 when I had my last one. The last one had a longer recovery period for me even though the duration of the Regimen took less time to go through.
Prayers up for Rush...
He also mentioned a "team of doctors" who I suspect are probably tops in their field......
Chemo is hard on the body. He sounded fatigued. This sounds like Rush’s first chemo. I suspect he didn’t grasp the side effects. His doctors will adjust his dosage or go with a different drug altogether. There are a lot of drugs to help with the side effects.
Also,it would not surprise me if because of the reality of the Wuhan virus,he may have been warned that with his own health issues to be very, very careful right now.
Do you mind telling us what type of cancer you had? So sorry you had to endure years of it....but you are a survivor....:)
