Can’t they vote by proxy?

Senate rules allow that only for committee votes. “Floor” votes, whether roll call votes or “voice votes” require the Senator to be present to vote.
So if all the Senate Republicans got sick they could not vote thus nullifying the representation of their states/constituents?
Seems like there should be some provision maybe teleconferencing.
