The Federal Reserve just pledged asset purchases with no limit to support markets
CNBC ^ | 03/23/2020 | Jeff Cox

The Federal Reserve said Monday it will launch a barrage of programs aimed at helping markets function more efficiently in the wake of the coronavirus crisis. Among the initiatives is a commitment to continue its asset purchasing program “in the amounts needed to support smooth market functioning and effective transmission of monetary policy to broader financial conditions and the economy.”

That represents a potentially new chapter in the Fed’s “money printing” as it commits to keep expanding its balance sheet as necessary, rather than a commitment to a set amount.

“A barrage of programs aimed at helping markets function more efficiently..”

It’s already functioning very efficiently.

the solution is so easy and yet the government keeps missing it. Instead of sending every american a check, they need to just have the banks and credit card companies FREEZE interest and payments on debt for the duration of the crisis, and then have the banks and credit card companies be compensated by the government for their losses. This would cost MUCH less than all the other solutions and would actually help. Because if you are not having to pay payments + interest on all your loans, you can go as long as needed like this.

they need to just have the banks and credit card companies FREEZE interest and payments on debt for the duration of the crisis...

That won't help. It's too scattered. The effort needs to be TARGETED at those without jobs, and businesses suffering due to government closures because of the virus:

- Expand and expedite unemployment, including gig workers.
- Suspend all business payroll taxes for all companies.
- Pay all medical costs for the virus. Every penny.

Assets? Do they mean private property as well, as Agenda 21 (now Agenda 2030) calls for?

I’m selling them my house!

That is exactly what they want you to do.

In the New World, subjects will not own private property. Only the elite

Interesting suggestion.

It won’t hurt the banks too much as they will be borrowing money from the Fed at near zero rates.

what do you mean that wont help? if you or a business large or small is not having to pay payments or interest on your mortgage, your credit card, your student loans, your small business loan, ect. You could stay like this for nearly forever.
