As the coronavirus hammers the economy, Californians are losing their jobs and boosting the pace of unemployment claims as much as 40-fold.
The latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report shows that in the week ended March 14 Californians filed 58,208 initial claims for jobless benefits — an increase of 34% in a week and up 42% vs. a year earlier. The state’s no outlier. Nationwide, 250,892 claims were filed in the same period — up 25% in a week and an increase of 29% in a year.
These increases are the tip of the iceberg. In a speech Wednesday evening, Gov. Gavin Newsom said the state had received 80,000 unemployment applications just on Tuesday alone.

Everyone getting in line for their checks. CA and NY can bust the national economy.
Large groups of people have already grown accustomed to not working as a lifestyle.
Get up late (Shirt: Beer—It’s what gets me out of bed every afternoon).
Eat junk food bought with welfare food card. Smoke dope while watching TV for 4-5 hours. Order pizza and dipping breadsticks delivery. Eat again. Drink some beer. Go to bed.
Tell them: You now must stay at home and not go to work.
They won’t understand you.
Gov. Newsom ordered grocery stores, pharmacies and marijuana stores to be allowed for people to enter during restrictions.
The third seems to weather the economic storm well enough.

...... and this is the real reason for the stay home order by Newsom. Bust the economy. Break Trump’s chances for reelection. Never let a good crisis go without using it to ones advantage.
Especially California the fifth largest economy in the world. You screw the first and fifth and your screwed.
That’s around 2 million. But we’re talking 50 million out of work before this is over and most have never had to deal with unemployment. The lazy people is small in comparison.
Okay, “only” 2 million people.
It’s true 50 million is a catastrophe.
And always so if that unemployed person is you.
By the time they are approved it will be months from now!
CA, NY aren’t the only states where business were told to shutter and bitching about a state that normally contributes more to the national economy than two or three other states combined is just bitchy whining and the same old bash CA and NY crap.
The libs push smoking weed and we find a virus that attacks the lungs. Real elevated thinkers in California. The state of health and sun is actually a state of nuts and sluggards.
