The question nobody asks is why a deviant like Gillum needs to "rebound" and reenter politics; aren't there qualified people who can step up to fill the void?

Why must the prior office holders who abused the trust of their constituents be given preferential treatment to regain their prior status over fresh faces with clean records?

The answer is that often (like probably in Kennedy's case), it's because the politician is a front for a "staff" of entrenched players who need the politician to secure their own high positions.

We used to ask the same thing about Katie Couric. Her career went on and on and on, way after she stopped being in any way pleasant to watch or appealing.

But eventually she went away, so there's that.

In the case of Andrew Gillum, they may indeed have a lot invested in him, but he won't stop this kind of behavior either.

Gone are the days when a public figure can count on the MSM to hide his indiscretions from the innocent eyes of the public.

If YouTube bodycam footage doesn't get him, the tabloid journalists will.
