Reporter asks Trump if 'Chinese food' is racist and accuses 'left-wing' media of siding with Beijing

A reporter for One America News Network asked President Trump if he thought the term "Chinese food" was racist during a line of questioning centering on the president's use of the phrase "China virus" to describe the coronavirus.

Chanel Rion, OANN's White House correspondent, asked the question of the president during Thursday's White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing.

Rion, who spent part of her childhood living in South Korea, asked, "Do you consider the term 'Chinese food' racist because it's food that originates in China?"

"No," the president answered before she finished the question. "I don’t think it’s racist at all."

"On that note, major left-wing news media, even in this room, have teamed up with Chinese Communist Party narratives, and they are claiming that you are racist for making these claims about 'Chinese virus,'" she followed up. "Is it alarming that major media players, just to oppose you, are consistently siding with foreign state propaganda, Islamic radicals, and Latin gangs and cartels, and they work right here at the White House with direct access to you and your team?"

When I was a kid - Vietnam years - the media was mostly middle age and older men (some women), many of them vets of WWII or Korea as war correspondents or servicemembers. They were liberal - hated Nixon - but mature, worldly wise, and intelligently skeptical in their manner. Today most are in their 20s with teen-age or campus-demonstrator worldviews and little practical life experience. They really don’t belong in the White House press room, most don’t strike me as decent McDonalds-manager material.

Bake then they actuually were reporters. They would have to seek out the story. Journalism tried to be neutral for the most part, but that all got destroyed when Dan Rathers came out. First report of fake news was when he reportedlocally that Dallas school children cheered when they heard JFK got shot. More interest in becoming the story than honest reporting.

“In a social media thread outlining his theory, Rubini suggested that Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, personally funded the production of the virus”

Disappointed that he didn’t blame George Soros.

Rion has made headlines this week for a report exploring claims that the virus may have been created in a laboratory in North Carolina.

----

In a social media thread outlining his theory, Rubini suggested that Anthony Fauci,....personally funded the production of the virus

"Makes me question Rion’s credibility."

Man are you thick. She only reported it.

Besides it's not unusual to produce a virus etc. to study it.

Daily KOS uses Media Matters without using original source! Now all other idiot MSM sources will use Media Matters as gospel. Useful tools, all!

Sounded to me like she said Chinese FLU, not Chinese FOOD. Why would she say FOOD?
