Close, but not quite. Ever been in a hospital ER in any major, or minor, city in California. It is full of illegals and destitutes that can’t afford food or shelter, let alone medical expenses. They will sit there all day and wait for service, which they will not pay for, and they will go away with medication, which they don’t pay for, back into the world with a quick fix and will be back tomorrow for more. The doctors have to service them, and the bill is stiffed.
They won’t get a bed unless they are unconscious and they will be released as soon as they are treated by their own decisions. You can’t force them to stay. And they will carry the virus to everyone they come in contact with.
For years this topic has been reason to keep illegals out of the country as they seem to breed this situation. Thus more than two-thirds of patients aren’t paying their entire hospital bills, and that number could increase to 95 percent by the end of 2020, according to a study from TransUnion, a company that helps hospitals collect unpaid bills. And guess who picks up the tab for that?
