The difference with us and Italy is we have President Trump who stopped flights from China early on. Italy, a small country, had a much higher portion of people flying non-stop into it from China.
That has absolutely nothing to do with it. The virus is here, and spreading rapidly. Once large cities get hit hard, and simply have more patients than hospitals can handle, things will get interesting.

Yep, Italy imported workers from Wuhan to work in textile factories. They were hit first, but stopping flights will just delay the inevitable.
